KUD FRANKOPAN – REMETE is a nonprofessional folklore group (around 35 members) consisting of folk dancers/singers and tamburitza orchestra players, aged around 20, on average. The group celebrates 88th anniversary this year. The program covers songs and dances from various parts of Croatia, and thus provides a true variety of both performing folklore art and costumes. An outstanding feature of our costumes is that many of them are original folk handicrafts and present, in some of the cases, part of authentic family heritage. KUD FRANKOPAN – REMETE has performed in many folklore festivals in Croatia and abroad (France, Sweden, Italy, Czeck Republic as well as CIOF festivals Belgium (Edegem) ,the Netherlands (SIVO - Odoorn) and USA (Idaho, Utah).
